When we originally got the Virgin the connection on the PS4 was unstable and inconsistent. We tried all the methods shown in the link above to resolve the issue and nothing worked. I was unable to Upload even very small videos, getting told "Cannot connect to Server", Internet connection tests would fail a lot of the time and those that did complete would have wildly varying download and upload speed and there was a weird "Packet fragmentation" message.
Virgin finally admitted that the cables in the area needed upgrading and that was likely the problem but it could not be done until August. So the contract was cancelled.
I have since come back because I was assured the work had been done, and while things are much improved as in All connection tests complete, I can actually play games and I no longer get the weird IP Packet fragmentation message. The Upload problem and the wildly varying connection speeds remain. This has a massive effect on my gaming.
In the thread I linked too one of the moderators asked me to do a traceroute but having left the service I never saw it. Hopefully this will highlight some problem. I just did it to google, if somewhere else would be better let me know
