Mumble server night-time disconnection problems

For the past 2-3 weeks every night without fail from about maybe 8 or 9PM onwards i cannot stay connected to my Multiplay mumble server for longer than a few minutes a a time.

At first i thought the problem might have been with Multiplay but i have had their support check and the problem is definitely from the Virgin side of things.

I've ran tracert's and also ran WinMTR for 30mins tonight and can see definite problems in the pathing to the mumble server.

Re: Mumble server night-time disconnection problems

I have been having the exact same issue as above with Mumble the last couple of nights (around the same time) tonight I got the message in Mumble's log "udp packets cannot be sent to or received from the server. switching to tcp mode" .while it can stay connected in tcp mode unfortunately it is very laggy and distorted,. before around 8.30 it was working perfectly.

Re: Mumble server night-time disconnection problems

And once again the disconnections from my multiplay mumble server started at 7:20PM

A reply from an Virgin rep with acknowledgement of the problem or how to fix it would really be appreciated, As it's clear that is not an isolated problem for just me.

Re: Mumble server night-time disconnection problems

I am having the exact same issue.

Virgin, this needs attention as having my voip server is basically one of the main things I pay for the internet to have.

Re: Mumble server night-time disconnection problems

Seems to be very recent too, from the looks of it. I never had this until the past few weeks. And it's only getting worse day-by-day.

Obviously VM makes it impossible to report anything, because saying that multiple users/account holders are affected doesn't kick them into gear at all. They have to take MY specific details, and act like the issue is with me specifically. What a bunch of useless time and money wasters.

Re: Mumble server night-time disconnection problems

Exactly the same here.

This is getting pretty pathetic on VMs end. They are not even acknowledging we have a problem.

Re: Mumble server night-time disconnection problems

Same issue still on going, going to keep bumping these threads till there's an answer because even Multiplay are asking virgin for answers still nothing. Utterly ridiculous.

Re: Mumble server night-time disconnection problems

It would be good for everyone to start highlighting this to VirginMedia through Twitter also because hopefully some more attention the public can see will force them to acknowledge or try and help.
