Latency increase until modem restart

Broadband is fine for general use but for gaming I have to restart the modem once or twice a week as it slowly transitions from near perfect to this:

Re: Latency increase until modem restart

Still have my old Belkin router from pre-Superhub days - though that was also before kids were old enough to plays games on broadband! Will put the superhub into modem mode and give it a try.

Latency ramping in router mode is a known problem with those Superhub 1's. The other alternative to modem mode is to get a SH2/2ac.

Re: Latency increase until modem restart

It's sad a "super hub" really only has one part that works...

Thanks for the advice though, connection has been a dream for the kids gaming (mine also but I don't do the amount they do) since I put it in modem mode. The ping plot graph has no upward trend in latency anymore and you could see that even after 1 day previously.

Do you want the hub 3?

Re: Latency increase until modem restart

If the hub 3 works it would be better than having 2 routers plugged in. How do I get it?

It don't….I was implying that the super hub you have is fine in modem mode that the newer hub 3 is worse so you be better off getting your own router for it.
