Re: Latency Issues

Jamie it's the same/similar issue that I've had with BF4 to a London server.

It's being routed through Austria, Germany and NL before going back to London.

Tracing route to 46.251.234.52 over a maximum of 30 hops

  1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.250
  2 * 16 ms 12 ms bagu-core-2a-xe-710-0.network.virginmedia.net [82.8.208.85]
  3 * * * Request timed out.
  4 * * * Request timed out.
  5 * * * Request timed out.
  6 * * * Request timed out.
  7 55 ms 33 ms 23 ms nrth-ic-1-ae1-0.network.virginmedia.net [62.254.42.218]
  8 43 ms 21 ms 22 ms m674-mp2.cvx1-b.lis.dial.ntli.net [62.254.42.162]
  9 * * * Request timed out.
 10 54 ms 70 ms 34 ms de-fra04a-rc1-ae26-0.aorta.net [84.116.132.18]
 11 34 ms 32 ms 31 ms de-fra01b-ri2-ae32-0.aorta.net [84.116.134.190]
 12 36 ms 31 ms 31 ms 213.46.177.34
 13 50 ms 50 ms 47 ms 80.95.144.25
 14 50 ms 46 ms 50 ms 46.251.234.52

This is a UK server in London, so how a route can be more/most efficient through 3 other countries is something that confuses me.

Re: Latency Issues

Jamie, it may be worth setting up a Broadband Quality Monitor as a matter of course - follow this link. thinkbroadband.com/ping

Another site you may find useful is https://db-ip.com

This application (from adrem software) is also good for tracing routes and identifying the physical location - you can also batch ping ranges such as 8.8.8.0/24 which will ping 8.8.8.1 to 8.8.8.254 - basically the same as a command prompt would but with additional functions as well.

Re: Latency Issues

Seems stable at the moment, Despite the low speeds ( Oversubscription in my area Smiley Sad )

Just been swapped out to a SH2AC As i never had one in the past, So gonna stick with that for the time being while i wait for them to resolve the oversubscription and fix the Hub3 Firmware issues

Cheers

Re: Latency Issues

Depending on how low your speeds are you may be able to seek compensation as they cannot provide the service you're subscribed to. It would be something I would 100% pursue via the customer service team.
