Lags are back

Havent been playing for couple of months, now I started again and here we are lag spikes and high latency constantly while playing world of warcraft, service check says there are no known issues, so far I thought its the game server being laggy, but after Ive played with my friend its def. me...is there anyone experiencing the same issues?

Re: Lags are back

Same thing is happening to me too. Both in World of Warcraft and Diablo 3.

The games run fine and then every now and then lags for 1 to 3 seconds. I happens at least couple times every hour.

Really what?

Which bit of that are you thinking isn't right?

Are you running some stuff in router mode and some in modem mode with your own router? Because you have two different WAN Ip's according to what you've posted

Re: Lags are back

Hi msepthaelre,

Apologies for the WOW latency you're experiencing.

Tests of your connection aren't revealing any obvious issues though I'd like to ask a few questions if you don't mind:

  • Is it only on WOW that you're experiencing lag?
  • How many devices are usually connected at any one time to your Hub?
  • Are you connected via Ethernet or Wi-Fi?
  • Is the lag evident at all times of day/night?

As well as answering the above I'd like to draw your attention this thread on the WOW Forum, which it would be worth while following.

Bye for now Smiley Happy

Re: Lags are back

Hi Msepthaelre,

Apologies for the late response, I've rechecked your connection and still can't see any issues. The traces you posted in your initial post stop at hop 3, could you run another set of traces and post the whole thing for us to take a look? The lookingglass traces from Blizzard you posted don't show any issue but they don't show the whole story either.

Also just to be doubly sure, are you only getting lag spikes with skype etc when running the game or does this happen on other programs/services regardless of whether WoW is running?

Thanks,
