Lag spikes 2-3 times a minute

Over the last couple of days I've been having massive lag spikes for about 5 seconds every 20-30 seconds, its like the connection drops then comes back again. Browsing the web is ok with the odd page taking time to load every once in while but this issue makes playing shooters/MMO's impossible, its like someone randomly hitting the pause button.

I'm wired to the Superhub 2 in router mode. I've tried reseting it twice and its taken about 10 minutes to reconnect when in the past its taken less than a minute.

I tried calling support and explained to the guy all of the above and he told me there was a fault and he made some changes and my wifi would be fixed! Errr, I never said anything about wifi and told him I was wired in. He waited a few moments and said he fixed that too. 8 hours later and nothing has changed.

Re: Lag spikes 2-3 times a minute

Will update when monitor has gone for 24 hours.

Also I've had this super hub for just over a year and never had any problems.

Internet was down all morning, saw 3 virgin vans down the road, nothing changed after it came back on.

I'm trying to figure out what this graph means but none of the examples look like it, any help would be appreciated.

Saw other guys here posting trace routes so here is mine.

Re: Lag spikes 2-3 times a minute

Hi moppopop

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

Many apologies that you are experiencing issues with your broadband connection.

On the day you posted there was a fault in your area which was causing an issue with the broadband service. This has since been closed down as resolved. The line and hub are now running fine with no errors.

Is the broadband now working ok or are you still experiencing the same issues?

Speak soon

Sam
