Lag on Xbox one (all of a sudden)

Hello all

Been a virgin customer for around 2 weeks and initially everything was spot on with my xbox one. but in the last week or so I have been getting random moments of Lag or spikes during all games. 

My NAT is open. My speeds are good, I have the relevant ports open, xbox is wired through home plugs. but for some apparent reason recently I have been having these lag or drops. they only last a cpl of seconds but will get them pretty regularly, I had zero issues on lesser connections with sky and bt

It seems a common problem but not many have posted an actual reason or if it has been fixed. Any help appreciated

Hey,

sorry, this forum does get quite busy so it can be easy to miss a post.

Firstly to monitor the quality of your connection it will be worth setting up a Broadband Quality Monitor over at thinkbroadband.com

Once you've done that you'll have to wait a little while for the data to be collected and graph to be produced. It's then easier to identify possible causes of lag whether it is a fault or over utilisation or something you can change within your local network.

Does the slow downs happen at regular times, mainly peak periods or does it occur regardless of the time of day?

This is a starting point and will hopefully help other forum members and VM tech team to solve your problem.

It happens at all times (today at 13:30 for example) as well as at night during peak times, I started monitoring my connection last night.

Really sorry about the intermittent connection, we did have an area problem F005131436 and I wonder if it was that. At the moment it looks like we have fixed it but we are monitoring things to be sure, how is it for you please?
