Re: Ipv6 and xbox one

Yes.

Switch to Andrews and Arnold as your ISP.

Alternatively tell us why you want to?

Re: Ipv6 and xbox one

After a lengthy chat with Microsoft about nat type issues and having 4 xbox ones all being used at the same time this would fix it but to change over I would need to contact my isp. When I spoke to customer services they wasn't very helpful so I gave up with the call. Wondered if anyone here could help.

Re: Ipv6 and xbox one

Xbone support are brilliant aren't they?

Switching to IPV6 would sort out any issues you have if you are getting the wrong NAT type. Unfortunately there's no major UK ISP that has IPV6 fully deployed so its a bit like telling you if you could flap your arms and fly to the moon, all your problems would be behind you.

Whats the specific problem you are having? Have you done the appropriate port forwarding?

Re: Ipv6 and xbox one

Yes very useful. My nat type flicks from moderate to strict then I can't join party chat multi player etc I keep losing wifi connection on xbox that isn't wired. I have had virgin make obscene amount of changes and updates short of an engineer visit or a new hub I thought this would be a better fix ? I haven't changed ports or opened ports or done any port forwarding myself only what virgin helpline have done

Re: Ipv6 and xbox one

With HUB2 you are going to need to do some port forwarding for Xbone to work properly

You can trawl through the VM guides.

OR

You need to set a static IP for your XBone...then  port forward the appropriate ports to the static IP

https://portforward.com/virgin-media/super-hub-2/

Has a decent step by step....
