High ping, no packet loss

Hi there,

The broadband in the house I am living in seems to be suffering with really high ping, even when connected via cable. Speed tests are giving me the 30/50mbps we should be getting, but from about 100-1000 fluctuating ping , average about 400ms. This makes playing online games impossible but also web pages are loading slowly.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
Heather

Re: High ping, no packet loss

We're seeing the same at the moment, I've tried rebooting our Super Hub but Ping is fluctuating huge amounts, making gaming this eve impossible! :-(

e.g my ping on a computer direct wired to the Super Hub 2:

What area are you in (it shows you in the my account section online), we're in Area 31, just curious if it's the same with you? Very annoying anyway!!

Re: High ping, no packet loss

I'm not actually able to say as I'm sharing a house and the virgin account details are with the agent as far as I know. But postcode is W13.

If settles for a split second back to what it should be, then back up again:
