High ping/latency and lag spikes while playing any game

Hello,

My ping for a very long time has been extremely high, around 400-600 and on some lucky days it could go to around 20-30. Even on those days, my ping will just go high for a few seconds and then decrease causing many problems when online gaming. (I play cs:go and league of legends)

I am also connected to the internet not wirelessly but wired.

Thank you.

Reboot your super hub router mode or use modem mode.

Only have one device connected and disable the wireless in the super hub to insure nothing else is downloading or uploading as none of the super hub/hubs have QoS.

Other people in this house need to connect to this router wirelessly, so doing that isn't possible. They aren't slowing down my internet too as I checked if their devices were downloading anything but nothing was going on. My internet is like this even when no one is connected.

Re: High ping/latency and lag spikes while playing any game

Hi Ash3131,

Welcome to the forums, I'm  sorry to see you have been having trouble with lag.

I haven't been able to look at the connection of your Hub as it is showing as offline currently but when I look at the general connection things look to be ok in your area at the moment. Let me know when the hub is back online and I will be able to have a more in depth look at this issue for you.

From the power levels and information you have posted there doesn't seem to be anything amiss from around the time you posted.

If you are using a wireless connection try popping the hub into modem only mode and the computer into safe mode with networking and let us know if this makes a difference.

It may also be handy to see a TBB Graph (please be aware link is external and we are not responsible for its contents).

Speak to you soon.

Emma
