The latency on my Xbox one is 163ms, this makes playing Destiny impossible. Is there a reason for this as I've already phoned virgin and they say everything is fine on their end. My PCs latency is 20ms and YouTube is streaming fine. What's the problem here?
Unless you're getting lag in games etc then if you're PC is getting a low ping then your Xbox will be. Like it was said above that result is just because the Xbox test runs to a server in Redmond where MS are.
Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear of the problems that you are experiencing when playing online. Looks like the community have provided some helpful information I did notice some issues with the hub's upstream and downstream power levels that may be causing you some problems here so I'm going to send you a PM to arrange an engineer visit and get these adjusted to see if this helps.
I am having the same problem on my Virgin Media gamer 200 hub, with the high latency of 160 ms on my Xbox one console. I get lags etc while playing GTA V. I also get speed jumps i.e 150-50-20-2 mb! Its so frustrating as I am paying extra amount of money for the service not to cause any connection problems. Can anyone help. Thanks and happy Xmas!
