Extremely High Ping across all games

Hey all,

Over the past two days i have been getting 200+ ping across all of my games and devices but my download and upload speeds have been fine.

what is the ping like if no one else is connected. turn off the wireless and connect just one network cable and test if the connection is gettting maxed out the ping will go up. that is not a fault its the way network work. if the upload is maxed out you will get slow downloads and high pings.

do the pings on the graph go high when you use the internet?

your downstream power is to high and you'll need a engineer to lowe them

QoS fault in the area or maybe you have a device flooding your upto limit.

Next time your ping goes high disable the wireless on the super hub (or if in modem mode your own router) and have no wired devices connected for about a hour if BQM shows fine the problem is caused by you.

As there are multiple people using the internet its almost constantly used, especially to stream TV and movies.

Tried this and found a device maxing out the upload with a 60GB+ cloud sync.

Turned it off and alls good.

In a word can uploading cause packet loss.... yes the app doing the uploading likely does many TCP connections and floods your upto limit and with no QoS being done on the super hub you buffer and drop some packets of other connections trying to get out.

Thanks for getting in touch, I am sorry to see you have had trouble while gaming. 

 

You don't mention what gaming console you are using but please be ware there is currently an issue being investigated between Xbox live and the Superhub 2 AC. If you need updates on this keep an eye on this thread:

Additionally I have to agree with apcyberax your downstream power levels are too high and I would like to get an engineer out to correct this for you.
