Dreadful for gaming now we've switched to virgin

Only had virgin installed 1 week ago, my son keeps complaining about the connection while hes playing games online, his pc is connected straight to the hub, on the virgin 50 broad band, was on the same with bt and had no problems whatsoever, where do i go for help.

Here mainly.

Which HUB do you have? What is the spec of the cable used to connect his PC to the HUB (it should be screen printed on the cable) , Youre looking for CAT5 E or better.

We have the 3.0 hub, and ive checked the cable its CAT 5E
Still bad.

Go to your Superhub Log in screen

Do NOT log in.

Little button top right.....


Can you post Upstream, Downstream and Network logs.



Screen caps are nice, C&P will do- Don't stress about formatting if you C&P. Someone will get a look and see if there's anything obvious amiss.

Make sure if it isnt fixed within your 14 day cooling off period you consider switching providers. I have had issues for 2 years with no fix and I am now stuck in yet another contract after a guy promised an upgrade to GAMER would solve everything, it didnt and I called up 1 day too late to cancel.

Thats how i usually do it, but therecis no option anywhere to do that, i am on my galaxy S7 maybe thats why ?

Thanks for the advice, it seems a lot of people are a having constant problems, not what they advertise.considering going back to bt.

Thanks for taking the time to post on the community.

I'm sorry to read that you are having issues with the broadband connection whilst gaming.

Looking at your connection, the line and hub have come back as fine. 

Can you answer some questions for me please, so I can understand the issue further.

Does your son mention that the connection is slow? If so have you completed a speed test to see what speeds you achieve?

Whilst online gaming, does it disconnect? If so, do other devices notice this at the same time?

Is there high pings or latency issues? Are you able to post some ping results please?

If you can let me know as much as you can, that would be very helpful.
