Diablo 3 Disconnects

I am receiving regular disconnects (Error 3005 and Error 3007 - see link below) for the last couple of weeks from Diablo 3 after a year of no problems whatsoever.

 

I have tried all their advice as provided here, disabled uPnP and firewall an anti-virus software and had the same issue:

I have since also started to use thinkbroadbands quality monitor that seems to be ok except the average latency appears to be quite high:

Hi Saitokata,

 

Welcome to the community Smiley Happy

 

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing disconnects to the server when playing Diablo 3.  Thank you for providing so much info in your initial post.  I've checked the hub and the network, they both look good as your own data from the hub shows.  The traceroute info you've provided doesn't show any points for concern, everything seems to be completing with normal hop times.  The network log does show a few drops over the past week, do the drops on Diablo 3 happen to coincide with these at all?  

 

If not, could you please check the following:

 

  • Test on a wired connection
  • Put the hub into modem mode
  • Boot the PC (assuming you're using a PC) into Safe Mode with Networking

Let me know how you get on with that and if any of those steps gets things working normally.

Thanks for your response.

No worries about the info, helping you is helping me isn't it?

I hadn't noticed any drops myself but I have done a couple of power cycles.

However, when I have let other users on wireless know it was going to be in modem only mode today only now have they said they experienced drops....

The machine I was using is wired.

I will put it into safe mode and play, not for my own pleasure but only for testing purposes tonight and update you.

As a quick note, can't run Diablo 3 in Safe Mode as GPU driver not loaded so I have done my best to mimic start up as below with GPU and sound drivers loaded (I also could not stop Avast from loading so had to manually do this after start up).

 

Left is the Services in Safe Mode, right is the Services I set up to mimic and also disabled anything none essential that was loading manually on the right too (bar audio).

 

Any other advice please let me know but I'll run like this for now:

Only played a few hours and didn't drop but often it will be stable for 4-5 hrs then I'll drop every 10-30 mins so I'll have to  test more extensively before we can assert anything and start to rectify but fingers crossed.
