Correctly port forwarded, ports still not open

Hi,

I'm attempting to setup a server for MINECRAFT as you do, however I've successfully performed all the steps that I need to port forward however the port which I've used is still closed no matter what I do.

As you can see, I already have one port open which I use for my CCTV which works, however when I try to port forward any other port it won't work. I also might add, I also had issues port forwarding port 100.

Also, I've setup DHCP reservation so my IP is always 192.168.0.9.

Here are snapshots from different port checking websites:

One last note, I have done this in the past and it usually updates instantly and the port is opened instantly after adding it. However for some reason it's just stopped working.

If someone could offer some assistance I would be grateful!

I'm going to start by asking is your minecraft server up and running when you are checking your port?

Likely the problem is with your firewall where minecraft is running if windows 7 open Windows Firewall > advanced settings > inbound rules > new rule > program next > path of minecraft or the .exe that has the taffic going to it next > next > next > name and finish.

Yes, I have tested it with and without the server running. I think regardless of whether if the server is running, I should still be able to ping the port.

Re: Correctly port forwarded, ports still not open

The computer has to have the server listening as it's the server that accepts the connection.

You have allowed The firewall to allow connections to the Java Engine when prompted?

Try deleting the port end recreating it.  You only need to allow TCP though, not UDP as well.

Re: Correctly port forwarded, ports still not open

I've just tried recreating the port with only TCP and no results. I've also checked my firewall and all java is allowed.

Is the java rule allowed for profile all or just public or private? try both checked in the rule.
