Constant Ping Spikes for Months

Over the last 6-10 months there have been constant spikes in my ping, it goes from 15-20 to around 150 with excessive packet loss no matter which game I play, or even if I'm only using VOIP. I'm not sure why I get this as my Internet has been supposedly tested and I've been told it's 'working fine' when it's clearly not.

I would be grateful if anyone else has any insight to my problem,

Thank you!

Re: Constant Ping Spikes for Months

If your using the route mode you need to reboot or use modem mode for it to be stable and get your own router for it.

Re: Constant Ping Spikes for Months

What do you mean by 'route mode'? And I need the WiFi so I can't use Modem Mode.

Re: Constant Ping Spikes for Months

Hey there cameronhh,

Thanks for posting and a big welcome to the community Smiley Happy

Sorry to hear about the connection problems you're experiencing. I think legacy1 was referencing to the specific issues with your VOIP, these can be tricky and often using a 3rd party router helps as you can access advanced configuration tools. Modem Mode is a good place to start with our diagnostics.

Hope to hear back from you soon,

Take care.
