I have been experiencing constant lag spikes for the last couple of months to the point where things are just intolerable. Downloads are slow (approx. 5 Mb/sec). Speed test pings 100+ ms.
I usually play World of Tanks online and pings go from around 35 ms up to 999 ms every minute or so. It makes gaming unplayable. I am using a wired connection but things are no different wireless.
Had persistent issues with Virgin since joining last year (constant drop out and latency). Going to be calling Virgin this week. I'm fed up and contract is up next month too.
In the Nottingham (Basford) area, has anyone else seen issues? Are there any potential fixes?
Thanks in advance.
So we can help us to help you, can youGo to your Superhub Log in screenDo NOT log in.Little button top right.....Can you post Upstream, Downstream and Network logs.Screen caps are nice, C&P will do- Don't stress about formatting if you C&P. Someone will get a look and see if there's anything obvious amiss.
Can you also post a couple of traceroutes to servers you are using?
Hi please see attached. Apologies I don't know why they import upside down or why I can't paste a screen shot.
After standing on my head to see your screenshots (actually when I right click they are the right way up- bizarre)- you power levels are okay.
Did you get a chance to do a couple of traceroutes to servers you are having issues with?
And can you set up a BQM
Run it for say 24 hrs, and post the result.
Dont forget youll need to make sure your super hub is configured to reply to ICMP echo requests...
Thanks Kippies. Hope you don't have a flat spot on your head now!
Please see below as requested:
You using a lot of upstream? P2P networking, Twitch streaming that sort of thing?
No nothing other than one device streaming perhaps from youtube or similar whilst other device on WOT.
Your latency is horrible. I guess you know that, but at least you have it confirmed.
Have you tried a pinhole reset of your HUB?
Wait for staff to pick it up, theres something not right at all. Ive sent you a message with some details.
