Configuring IGMP proxying

Hi,

We have a Superhub 2 and have been experiencing disconnects from one of the games we play.  We have had a long correspondence with the game support team and they have identified significant packet loss at the router.  They have now requested that we try disabling IGMP proxying but we are unable to find out how to do this due to the Superhub 2 not using Netgear's default configuration utilites.

Can anyone please help, or Virgin Media team advise.

Thank you

Re: Configuring IGMP proxying

AFAIK the SHUB2 does not offer IGMP proxying so trying to switch it off is fairly futile. Are you using your own router and HUB in modem mode, or HUB in router mode?

Re: Configuring IGMP proxying

Then you should be fine. What evidence have they given you of packet loss? Seems odd it affects just one game.

Re: Configuring IGMP proxying

We were asked to run WinMTR alongside the game for a few sessions then send in the reports, from which the packet loss was identified.  Yes, it is strange it is just this one game, all other times everything is fine and we are very pleased with the Virgin Media service.

Re: Configuring IGMP proxying

Can you post the reports on here (with your own IP obscured)? Or send them to me in a PM and Ill do some digging for you?
