trying to download from utorrent and keeps coming up error,its as if something in virgin media security is blocking it. it is not the firewall as I have tried turning it off,can anyone help please.

you probably need to forward your ports
we use a torrent client to send videos (we make to each other) from days out kayaking and climbing, few of the people that get the files had to PORTFORWRD their router ;-)P

If you close the VMS application(Please do this at your own discretion as we do not recommend you disable your firewall and anti-virus)and try again. If the problem still persists, VMS will not be causing this issue. It could well be a port forwarding issue, as advised by fedster.
You will need to find out the specific ports uTorrent uses(there are quite a number to choose from)and forward that range in your router configuration pages.
