Yeah, I'm sick of this as well. Posted on here a while back but no response. Still constantly doing it. Doesn't matter if it's e-mail, my virgin media or virgin media player lucky if I get signed in once out of every ten attempts. Getting very irritating............Getting to the stage when you just give up trying, which is a shame as the media player could be good.
I think it started happening the last time they updated everything online. Probably another VM botch up the same as the superhub or 3d update.
are you connecting via the same network with each device? I noticed that via my employer's network I could not log in successfully, and that was definitely due to their network management. Same laptop at home logged in no problems.

Please confirm what browser/version you are using on your netbook and your PC? Have you tried a different browser on your netbook to see if it works when your preferred browser fails?
Also, when it fails on your netbook do you have an active session open on your PC?
