Yodel (formerly known as the Home Delivery Network) has a great reputation for being a very awful and useless delivery company, or so I have found out through personal experience and looking at the endless pages of complaints littered all over the internet.
It has been over a week since I ordered my mobile phone and it still has not been delivered. This is totally unacceptable and even more so when you are expected to pay for this terrible service. A delivery service that costs £7.99 must be next working day delivery to justify the cost and never should it take more that 5 working days if free, IMO. That is how all other online etailers I use operate.
I have made a lot of phone calls in the last few days trying to sort this delivery problem out. It took Yodel 4 days to transport my package from Northampton to Lichfield, I have had parcels arrive from China, that traveled by land, arrive within 4 or 5 days. I was told by the Yodel Lichfield depot on Monday that they couldn't even find my parcel, they eventually found it last night. It has been 8 full days now and I was told that my parcel will be delivered by 9pm tonight, however, I have also been told that if the driver has been given more parcels than he can get delivered, he will take the rest back and they will "hopefully" be delivered the next day.
This is unacceptable and I will NEVER order from any company again that uses any of the HDNL delivery services and I suggest Virgin should find an alternative more reliable delivery company.

Oh fking great. There is one person with the name they signed with and that person lives at number 160, I live at number 90. How can a driver be so retarded. This has really **bleep** me off.

My girlfriend ordered me a christmas gift ranging from 40-50 pound and paid and extra £5 for next day delivery, I stayed in all day yesterday waiting for this delivery to come to my house. I sat and tracked my delivery and saw that it had been dispatched at 10:30 am I waited all day and then when it came to 9pm I checked my tracker again and it said my delivery had been delivered and signed for by some randomer. So I ring them and I am told the driver is adamant he delivered it to my address........How is this possible, What kind of company just let's random people sign for your delivery. So im sat here with nothing what am I to do ? Help me please.

Yodel are a joke.
Phone was ordered on the 7th November.
"Delivered" on the 8th to the wrong address.
I rang yodel to enquire where it was - "it got delivered" - "Not to me it wasn't"
Nobody knows where it is. An email was supposedly sent to the driver to find out where he delivered it.
I have not heard anything back, even after 2 complaint emails sent to yodel.
VM said they have put a trace on it only I have not heard anything from them either.
This has been 4 weeks now and still no phone. The £7.99 "delivery" charge just makes me laugh.

Our delivery driver regularly leaves parcels at neighbour's properties without
a) leaving us a card to let know he's been
b) if he does leave a card he either puts the wrong house number on or no number at all, meaning we have to call on each of our neighbours looking for parcels.
I tried calling the Team Valley, Gateshead depot, but they never answer the phone and so I called a central number and spoke to someone who couldn't even find the address details for the Gateshead eepot, let alone my parcel.
I gave him the 4 digit code and full address but he couldn't locate it on their system.
I was then advised that without a parcel number or depot number, he couldn't help.
Result: lost parcel.
When I've called to the Gateshead depot, the staff are lazy, surly and offensive, meaning Yodel are by far and away one the most useless companies I have the misfortune to deal with.
Why can't they just close down and claim benefits, it'll be less hassle for the rest of us?
