What is a security string ?

I have recently purchased a Kodak 9 Printer which I am trying to connect to my laptop via WI-if

recently purchased from Virgin.

To do this the printer asks for a security string .. I do not know what this is or were to get it from.

I would be most grateful if anyone can advise were I get this information from.

this is your wireless password, also know as passphrase/key can you post your make and model of router, since some routers let you see the password.

with that router you can see the wireless password to do so:

open internet explorer

goto the address bar type in 192.168.0.1 press enter/go

username is admin

password left blank

press login

left hand side choose wireless setup -->manual wireless connection setup on the very last box bottom of the page will contain your wireless password.
