Server Error: 0x800CCC90 Server Response: -ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted. Server: 'pop3.virginmedia.com' Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC92 Protocol: POP3 Port: 995 Secure(SSL): Yes
these are the details I use with Outlook - similar kind of set up to WLM. My email address is @blueyonder.co.uk, but otherwise everything should be the same.
I know some people will have changed the username for their email account. I find this quite confusing, since the new username will be another (non VM) email address. So you could end up logging on to email@example.com using a username firstname.lastname@example.org. I have not tried this, but if you have then I guess the Logon Information User Name filed below would then be email@example.com?

Can you please confirm that you're using your full email address as your username within Windows Live Mail, and that you have enabled POP access from within the Settings section of your webmail. If so, you'll need to call into Technical Support on 0845 454 1111 or 151 from a VM phone line. We'd need to replicate the isue from our end and due to Data Protection restrictions, this isn't possible via the forums.
