Virgin Media Security Error Code

Hi, My computer received a virus which has been cleared but since then I am unable to open up Virgin Security Centre. I have tried the diagnostic tool which has not worked and it has recommended that I come to the support site. I need to reinstall the security centre but when I try to uninstall it I receive the follwoing error: An error (-5001 : 0x80070002) has occurred while running the setup. Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications If the error still occurs please contact your vendor: Virgin Media (http://www.virginmedia.com) Please can you PM the file need to uninstall and reinstall the security centre. Thanks

Re: Virgin Media Security Error Code

Uninstall in safe mode

As you've found out, having VMS installed is practically the same as having nothing installed.

Reinstall Avast Free or MSE backed up with MalwareBytes
