FTP Client Won't Connect - ECONNREFUSED

When attempting to connect to my FTP server using Filezilla I get the error: Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".

I have run the network configuration wizard and it fails to receive a responce.

I have tried setting port forwarding for FTP ports and putting the computer in the DMZ, no luck.

However when I plug my computer into my still active BT connection it connects to my server no problem and the connection wizard test complete's successfully.

Am I missing something in the Super Hub Settings?

Re: FTP Client Won't Connect - ECONNREFUSED

if you go into the services features under content filtering and untick firewall features and IP flood detection, and apply and see what happens.

Already done, also disabled firewall features, has made no difference!

looks like its logging you in but can't get yoru external ip. are you using another router connected to the superhub.

2 things to try.

In the site manager try...

1)  in the transfer settings try both active and passive mode.

2) in the options under connection -> FTP -> Active mode, select use the following ip address and set your ip manually.

check your ip at http://www.ip-adress.com/

Below it receives the correct IP, it is failing on receiving a responce.

This is the test successfully finishing through the BT Line:

Connecting to probe.filezilla-project.org
Response: 220 FZ router and firewall tester ready
USER FileZilla
Response: 331 Give any password.
PASS 3.3.5.1

PORT 217,42,193,16,193,242

It seems the test is not receiving a responce from the server once and the connection is timing out.

VM Test:

Connecting to probe.filezilla-project.org
Response: 220 FZ router and firewall tester ready
USER FileZilla
Response: 331 Give any password.
PASS 3.3.5.1
Response: 230 logged on.

Response: 200 Using port 49999, data token 1333639299
PORT 94,174,103,119,195,79
Connection timed out.
Connection closed

But now for some strange reason I am now able to connect to my web server without the ECONREFUSED error when connecting using the Virgin Media connection.

As seen above the test is still timing out so I am confused as to how/ what was going on.
