Outgoing calls are not working from my Virgin Media landline, and oddly enough the 'contact' section of the 'My Virgin Media' site only offers the telephone as a method of contact. i cant even dial 150 to discuss this with an opperator

There is a dial tone, But when i try to dial a number (any number) it says the number is not recognised
Incoming calls connect some of the time but not always

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues with your phoneline. I have run a line test and also checked the network in your area and have not found any problems. We would need to rule out your telephone equipment as it is possible that it could be causing a problem. Have you tried an alternative telephone handset into the master socket?
Have you tried calling a few different types of number I,e local, national and mobile? or are all calls affected?
