Contract ended - will Virgin now unlock my phone?

I've come to the end of a 24 month contract on my Blackberry Curve.  Moved to another provider but obvioulsy still ahve the phone.  Will Virgin provide a code to unlock the phone so if I choose I can use it iwth any network?

Thanks

Hi Blenky!

We certainly will! Smiley Happy

First of all, just check the phone is indeed locked to Virgin Mobile (try a different network's SIM) as not all of them are.

If the phone is locked to us, you can request an unlock code to use it with any network. There's currently a charge of £15.32 for this service.

Just call the team on 789 if you'd like to phone to be unlocked and we'll provide the unlock code and the instructions within 7-14 days (sometimes quicker).

Many thanks

Re: Contract ended - will Virgin now unlock my phone?

Surely if someone has been locked into a contract for 2 years and that has finished the phone becomes their property. How can you have the nerve to charge them to unlock their phone. Especially as by your own admission some are not locked. Does this mean you run some sort of lottery?

I know for a fact that O2 do not charge their former contract customers.

If you want to get the unlock code for your Blackberry Curve mobile to unlock from Virgin mobile means you can get the unlocking service from the online vendor [Inappropriate content removed] .For getting the service you need to submit your country name and IMEI number.
