I have already posted in the 30mb Broadband section regarding my slow internet since Saturday. This seems to now be affecting my TiVo service.
Now that all the BBC catch-up programmes go through the iPlayer app to free up a tuner, this uses the TiVo's internal dedicated BB line. Great, unless you are having problems with the internet anyway. Tried numerous times to watch a programme on iPlayer, firstly iPlayer took an age to load up, then when trying to watch the programme, it was unwatchable. It froze, took ages to buffer, played a little bit, froze again.
Something needs to be sorted, I use catch-up quite a bit, as well as my 30mb Broadband and pay for a fast service which I am not getting
1/ Consecutive recording should be made by the ONE tuner not TWO 2/ List programmes by time/date (not channel) - People will watch their favourite film when its on, they wont wait until it's on BBC1 and thats the way it should be displayed 3/ Wishlists should have option to record in SD 4/ Wishlist should be able to find Movie 'Premiers' (where last aired = TODAY)
These could be programmed by a degree student in half a day
I also read the you can still get all the BBC iplayer content via Tivo by using the scroll-back EPG it accesses VM server versions
I decided to watch Frozen Planet on catchup. Last night I scrolled back through the EPG to the last shown episode, clicked it, and got the BBC iPlayer. So no, scrolling back through the EPG doesn't get the VM server versions - at least it didn't for that programme.
