Re: "this page is trying to load unsafe content"

Try this instead:

  1. Go to https://mail2.virginmedia.com if not already there
  2. Press either Ctrl + R to reload the web page or Ctrl + Shift + R bypass the web browser’s cache to reload the web page

FYI: Read more about the unsafe content warning here, Mixed content blocking

Re: "this page is trying to load unsafe content"

Thanks for reply I can access my ntl mail by pressing the   load unauthenticated pages  , but when on my email account I can not tell which mail is casing the problem which would allow me to take any necessary action

Re: "this page is trying to load unsafe content"

The mixed content warning is caused by Virgin Media's webmail application trying to load http://redirects.virginmedia.com when an unexpected error occurs. You can confirm this when next the mixed content warning occurs by viewing the web browser's console (usually accessible by pressing Ctrl + Shift + J) and looking for mixed content errors.

Re: "this page is trying to load unsafe content"

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://mail2.virginmedia.com/appsuite/#!&app=io.ox/mail&folder=flhawlw01QOKSZ' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure XMLHttpRequest endpoint 'http://redirects.virginmedia.com/'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

This is what I found ,Yet the incoming mail is from someone I have corosponded with for years

Re: "this page is trying to load unsafe content"

An email message cannot instruct webmail to redirect to http://redirects.virginmedia.com and it is coincidental that you happen to have incoming email from a particular correspondent when the mixed content error occurs. Reloading webmail by pressing Ctrl + Shift + R temporarily resolves the issue and hopefully Virgin Media will fix the cause of instability soon.

Re: "this page is trying to load unsafe content"

This problem of not being able to access my email page without either pressing " load unauthorised content " or pressing "ctrl +shft + + r " is getting ridiculous as it happens every time I try to access my email page.I worry I am loading something nasty, and then find there is just mail from my regular contacts which pose no threat

ctrl + shft+ j   shows this message

Re: "this page is trying to load unsafe content"

There should be no need to allow unauthorised content as the Ctrl + R (reload) or Ctrl + Shift + R (reload bypassing web browser's data cache) temporarily corrected the issue. Another reason not to allow unauthorised content is because with repetitiveness there is  risk of developing muscle memory which increases the chance of inadvertently allowing unauthorised content.

The web browser console (Ctrl + Shift + J) output shows the resource failed to load because it could not be found, look like a legacy tracking resource. Safe to ignore because it did not load.
