most of the time i try to login to my virgin media or the email web servers i get this screen

Yeah, I'm sick of this as well. Posted on here a while back but no response. Still constantly doing it. Doesn't matter if it's e-mail, my virgin media or virgin media player lucky if I get signed in once out of every ten attempts. Getting very irritating............Getting to the stage when you just give up trying, which is a shame as the media player could be good.
I think it started happening the last time they updated everything online. Probably another VM botch up the same as the superhub or 3d update.

hi i noticed on my netbook that it happens but on my pc it doesnt
so that makes me think is it a problem with the virgin media sso or with the data being sent to the sso
anyone else seeing anything like this?

are you connecting via the same network with each device? I noticed that via my employer's network I could not log in successfully, and that was definitely due to their network management. Same laptop at home logged in no problems.

well that should give them something to get to grips with to try to identify and resolve the problem. Anybody at VM?

Please confirm what browser/version you are using on your netbook and your PC? Have you tried a different browser on your netbook to see if it works when your preferred browser fails?
Also, when it fails on your netbook do you have an active session open on your PC?

i am using ie9 and have tried legacy browsers and still the same the intermittent error
and by active session do you mean logged onto the vm sso?

An active session would mean being signed into the VM SSO concurrently on another device.
