I have been unable to access my old blueyonder email address for a couple of months now,
since they were doing some kind of platform change?
I have phoned and been told will take a few weeks to sort, that was a while ago
Phoned again tonight, spoke to two departments then was trans to a third
After being on hold for a while, was cut off
Have now lost the will to live,

2) how are you tring to access the email?

yes I am still a virgin customer
going in through virgin email
came up google apps error, thats with email address they told me to use, not my original but still a blueyonder one

Google Apps Error = need a Mod!
Leave off posting here, they answer bottom up, within about 5 days they should pick it up, hopefully...

that could be because your browser is remembering the last domain signed into. So you end up trying to log into @by from the @vm signin page etc.
Easiest wy to check, choose the correct one directly. In the OP's case, that would be:
