Re: Windows 10 Mail App fix for 0x85050013 error

Hi,

Thanks for posting this.  It worked first time for me without a reboot.  I have 3 mail accounts running through Outlook and 2 of them were fine, but the third wouldn't send.  All 3 are now working properley.

Many thanks once again.

Stu.

This 'FIX' certainly doesn't work for me!

Talktalk email...fine

Gmail....fine

Hotmail...fine

but Virginmedia....no go!!

Occasionally....a single most recent message arrives in the inbox....only to disappear when sync is attempted.

Any other thoughts on this please....or should I start a new thread??

Kev

PS....not sure about the 0x85050013 error thing....but mail just doesn't work!

Suppose I'm looking for an Idiot's Guide to make this work!!

Re: Windows 10 Mail App fix for 0x85050013 error

Hi Kev,

Thanks for getting in touch, sounds like you're experiencing different problems to the original Win10 Mail app issues mentioned by the OP.

It may be an idea to start a new thread on the problem so we can focus on this with you there.

Speak to you soon.

Re: Windows 10 Mail App fix for 0x85050013 error

I have exactly the same problem. All e-mails have disappeared from my VM inbox and only new ones appear in the Win 10 app. I hope a fix is out there to restore the mails. Is it as simple as deleting the account from the Win 10 app? I wonder.

Thanks so much.

I've spent ages trying to sort out email problems since upgrading to Windows 10.  Finally, touch wood, I followed the advice and it seems to have worked!

Re: Windows 10 Mail App fix for 0x85050013 error

The best advise I have about the Mail App in W10, comes from a Microsoft Beta Tester, who tells me that the mail app is 'Work in Progress', and don't use it. Do what I did and download the 'Windows Live package then just install 'Windows Live Mail' and use that. Getting rid of the W10 Mail app itself is a little more involved. You need to enter a special command in  Windows Power Shell this one:-

Get-AppxPackage *windowscommunicationsapps* | Remove-AppxPackage

You can get rid of several other bits of Bloatware with similar commands

But you do this at your own risk of course!!

Re: Windows 10 Mail App fix for 0x85050013 error

Thanks for the remedy for this problem which has been doing my head in now for the past 2 months. Not even upgrading to Office 2016 fixed the problem
