Virgin email reloading deleted emails

My ntlworld (Virgin) email seems to have reloaded previously deleted emails into my inbox showing them as unread. This is showing on my webmail, and now has resulted in the Mail Client on my mobile showing over 2000 unread emails. This occurred yesterday evening (30th Dec). Has this happened to anyone else?

Re: Virgin email reloading deleted emails

Can't help but share your problem. I've tried so many times to delete emails in webmail and even when I have ticked the box to acknowledge emails will be deleted permanently, low and behold a day or so later they all reappear in my inbox. I have around 1000 emails that I just can't get rid of. I use Thunderbird on my Mac and have, as far as I know, set everything up so it downloads emails and then removes them from the mail server, but I can guarantee that when I go back into webmail, there they still are.

I don't know if anyone, least of all Virgin tech support, has found a solution to this but it is incredibly annoying.

Re: Virgin email reloading deleted emails

If you are using POP3, this is why emails aren't being deleted from webmail -
