Virgin Media 421 mx1.mnd.ukmail.iss.as9143.net blocking our emails

Hi,

I'm having some trouble with sending emails to our virginmedia customers as I'm receiving the following error: Invalid greeting from server - 421 mx1.mnd.ukmail.iss.as9143.net bizsmtp Too many simultaneous sessions

Can someone please contact me on how we can resolve this? We've tried seperating our campaigns and then sending only a few hundred to virginmedia at a time but we're ending up with extremely high percentage bounce rates.

We are unable to contact ntlworld, blueyonder or virginmedia customers.

Who knows - VM have intermittent problems with their grey listing and rate limiting behaviour being over vigorous. As you know 421 errors are temporary failures to accept mail.

On the other hand web mail is up the spout again and that might have something to do with the servers misbehaving.

Anyway I'll refer this to the Forum Team for them to pick up and get back to you, with usually a request for headers and other details. be patient. No other way.

I'm so sorry you're having problems with this, I'd hoped this type of issue had had it's day. But I shall be happy to investigate for you - and escalate to our email engineers if needed.
