Told my e-mail log in details incorrect since 11:00 AM

Hi,

I have not changed e-mail account name and password yet I can no longer log in on iPhone/iPad and computer. I have tried Chrome and Internet Explorer - I keep getting a message either my e-mail or password is wrong and to check my Caps key. Does anyone else have this problem? Any

solutions?

It may be a coincidence, but my email password stopped working today after many years. Had to ring VM to reset it. Something has obviously 'happened' without them telling us.

The numbers to ring are 150 free from a VM mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone (chargeable as standard UK landline phone no.).  Select the option for broadband faults.

151 from a VM line, afraid you have to through several options, and then ring again after they auto tested your hardware, which has nothing to do with the issue. Very helpful once I got through through to a real person.

Having the same problem, not a virgin media customer just use email. Tried the phone number given by another user but when the guy found out I was not a VM customer he just kicked me off the line. How do I get this working? How do I contact virgin about this? I've got some important invoices I need to access on this email address.

I have same problem I have had a virgin email since 2000 but live in country so can not get cable so not an account holder so it seems imposible to talk to anyone .If virgin want rid of me just ask me so i can redirect my emails but to refuse to let me back in with no means to cantact seems rather strange I am glad it has happen to others i was beggining to fear i had been hacked .Anybody any idea how i can sort this out

If you are not a VM customer the news may not be great. Read what I said here and wait for the Forum Team to pick this up. There is something in the feeling that if VM are purging these accounts (as they should IMHO) they might have given some notice. But there is evidence that they may be doing something else or something else has gone wrong that can be corrected. So access may be restored, eventually. In the meantime moving your e-mail work to an non ISP related account might be a good idea and provide a long term solution because your VM address is at risk, at any time,  of deletion.

BTW - agreed phoning VM support can be very frustrating. You aren't a customer. Usually staying on line and letting the menu options pass works but obviously not always and not all the CS operatives will get what is happening to you if you do get through.

I have had the same problem since Tuesday and even my answers to my security questions are registering as incorrect despite being right.
