Possible Spam email??

Hi, I've just received this email, and suspect it may be spam. Am I right, or do I need to phone? Virgin say they will send a letter of a payment fails, not email?
(When I've copied and pasted, it has added extra letters to the words, but it did come through originally as understandable wording!)

Hi daveandsharon,

You are correct, this is a scam email.

You should report this on http://netreport.virginmedia.com and Virgin will do the rest. Just delete the email, and ensure no links are pressed.
