Opening fraudulent e-mails

I have recently received two e-mails from the 'University of Nottingham' aka 'University of Nottingham alumni' - notorious Nigerian scammers, but have not opened them as advice has always been not do so and I have no connection with the aforementioned university. How do I delete these (and other suspicious messages) without opening them? mickelodeon.

Temporarily switch your view to select them.

  1. Click View and then  List
  2. Click View and then  Checkboxes
  3. Clicking to select or to deselect

Re: Opening fraudulent e-mails

Bear in mind the following.

Virgin Media mail doesn't show images by default.  So you're safe there
You can't get infected just by viewing the text of an email.  Most infections come by people opening the attachments.  So there is no need to change view.  Just select the email and delete it.
