Hi jen-a
Your screenshot bears little resemblance to how my page is displaying so maybe if you go through step by step what to click on and where to find it on the page such as in the left hand column or to the top right or top left.
Your screenshot shows the words 'in trash' mine doesn't.
mine says across the top delete forever, move to inbox, more actions, go, can't see this on your screenshot
I have looked all over the page trying to find a box or something to click on that will then put a tick in all the boxes one at the start of each binned emails which would then allow me to click on the delete button and get rid of them all in one go.
Would you also like to ask the forum manager to put an update as a sticky informing all of us that senior management are getting things resolvd

I cannot believe that after several weeks and fifteen pages of complaints Virgin still not have resolved this problem. Come on you "boffins" get it sorted!!!!

We seem to have gone a bit quiet on this topic, but I'm still really angry at what they're passing us off as an email service. I do not believe that Virgin are as powerless in this as they are claiming, and I think we need to put more pressure on them.
What I'm going to do now is post a screen shot of my Virgin webmail screenshot on Facebook and invite others to see just how awful it is. Maybe making it more public to potential Viurgin customer just how bad this service is will have an effect.
I'd encourage you all to do the same.

Enough is enough. Now forwarding my emails to a provider that is usable. I will now over the next few months let everybody know my new address and phase out my Virginmedia address.
Virginmedia this is a disgrace to be ignoring customers and once this is done I might just move my TV, Phone and Broadband.

I think a lot of Virgin users think that and Virgin Media don't give a **bleep**. What Virgin Media now stand for is poor customer service, useless technical help and a complete disregard for users email problems. It has amazed me that nobody, but nobody of any consequence in the Virgin Media 'empire' has come onto this forum topic to apologise and give a statement of what will be done, well actually we all know the answer to that one, precisely nothing.

I have read several excuses on why the web page cannot be immediately alterered which basically states that it is googles fault. Virgin must think its subscribers are thick. A company the size of virgin is not dictated to on the layout of its webpage and basically virgin wanted to fleece its subscribers by getting more money in from advertising than looking after the people who pay to use its services. I have listened to what has been posted by virgin and do not like what I read. Luckily I have been with virgin for several years and am not heavily reliant on virgin that I cannot cancel my email subscription. I have waited enough time for this unusable page format to be altered and have reached the conclusion that virgin are not taking this seriously. I understand I can contact BT and get infinity and they will arrange the swap over with the minimum of hassle and this is what I intend to do next week as I cannot bear to be fobbed off for a service I am paying for and feel like I am being taken for a ride.

I agree the old formatwas much better , it was more user friendly . I have a priblem with emptying the bin like I used to . I used to just click on empy bin but now I can't do that ,or delete for ever . Why can't we go back to the old format , I didn't even know it was changing one day the old format the next a new one . If it's not broken don't fix it is my motto.

Just done a search on how to close the massive space at the top of the webmail screen to make laptop more useable and came up with this thread. Surely there's a fix available by now - the original query was raised 8 months ago!
Is there a fix yet?

Hi gnu,
If you try using google chrome as your browser when logging into your webmail the adverts are smaller. Some users have found that using AdBlock also drastically reduces the size of the advert space at the top.
Please let us know if this resolves your issue.
