Up until the middle of June, I had full access to my NTL email account, which I can now no longer access. Approx 10 days ago I called Virgin and spoke to the IT Support desk in an attempt to sort the problem out. To say this conversation was stressful is a complete understatement. Both of the gentlemen I spoke to could hardly speak a work of English and had very little understanding of what it was that I was telling them. The line was also incredibly bad with long gaps and pauses between being able to be heard.
The email address was set up years ago when my father initially had NTL (Virgin) installed. The NTL email address was set up in my name as my father didn't have a computer and had no use for an email address in his name. Since then my father has bought his own computer and he now has his own NTL email address.
I desperately need to access my email account and I honestly don't think I could face another conversation like the one I had 10 days ago. I'm especially disappointed to find that I still can't access my email address, as the 2nd IT Support agent told me that he had taken all my details, along with my email address and he promised me that my account would reapper in 5 days from the date of our conversation.
Is there anyone I can speak to that A) can speak clear english, B) has the ability to understand and resolve my issue.
Also, is there some kind of ombudsman I can take this query too, as I'm simply NOT HAPPY with how things have panned out thus far.

What a familiar tale. I've now cut my losses and moved to gmail, but I fully agree with the stress levels this sort of thing can cause, presumably the guys in foreign parts who are the supposed techies are very cheap labour. I like the ombudsman idea but I doubt that there will be one for this sort of thing, unless anyone knows different of course.

I tried to log on to my NTL email today and found myself redirected to GOOGLE.
So, like yourself, I no longer seem to have access to my NTL email.
I find this so annoying as no warning was sent that this would occur.
As I cannot access my NTL mail, what will happen when at will happen when my box is full???
Thankfully, I still have access to Windows Mail.

Problem now solved!
Telephoned 151 and spoke to a very helpful lady who took control of my computer and diagnosed a problem with the Browser.
She resolved the problem and I now have access to my NTL emails. Yipee!!!!!

Ok.Though i would give them a call to see if it would be a bit quicker as there are a few waiting for help.
They are going to fix it for me but as they are busy it could take up to 5 days.
I suppose it is better than trying different things and only making it worse.
5 days I can put up with that as long as it gets fixed.
