I believe VM do use Medallia for occasional customer service questionnaires, so this is likely to be genuine.

However, you are right to be cautious. You can always check the Security Forum for known scams aimed at VM customers.

It's deleted and I didn't click on the link

As Graham said nothing wrong with being cautious.  I do sometimes click links in emails like this.  Note that the genuine emails will never ask for your email address and password, nor any personal information.

Looking at the SPF record (which uses the Sender Address) the mail appears valid.

Nothing nasty minded about being ultra cautious with unsolicited emails.

Far better to ignore and be safe.
