Edit - apologies - I mstakenly said Ipad when it was your Iphone - however they both use the same operating system.  The Iphone's smaller screen makes some things appear different, but the underlying systems are exactly the same.

Lets use Thunderbird to see what additional information we can gather as to the problem.  If you can receive but not send I'm guessing it could be a 525 VM 304 error - However rather than make assumptions I'd rather see what Thunderbird shows.

I got your PM and I have to say I am now a little confused.

According to your earlier post, you couldn't send when using Thunderbird, but this

Says you can.  (Note this line contains no sensitive information).

I have always been able to send from the PC and this message was from Outlook.

 

When I tried Thunderbird it just hung when sending.

If you can send from Outlook then you should be able to send from you IPhone too.  There is no difference to how they talk to the server.

What are your current Outlook settings?

Open Outlook and go to File->Accounts

Double click the blueyonder account. And you'll see the main account windowAccount SettingsAccount Settings

Click More settings

Click the Outgoing Tab - What settings do you currently have in there.  Here's mine

Thanks for your help, however I have replicated my Outlook settings (where it works perfectly) into Android account and it doesn't work.

I wonder why I'm getting numerous emails with this heading, "Ipad/Iphone SMTP why deleting and recreating an account DOESN'T fix it." every day and I don't even have an Iphone or pad?
