IPAD mail problem

Good morning

I use Outlook to deal with my 2 ntlworld mail addresses. I download, read, and file or delete without difficulty. If I later use my iPad I get all these messages again.

Doing things t'other way around it all works properly i.e. deleted messages don't reappear.

Ta for info/advice.

The easiest option is to use IMAP on everything.

You would need to delete the accounts in Outlook and re-add them.  Note that Virgin have recently set up autodiscover servers for their email settings, so when you re-add the accounts just let Outlook find the correct settings.

I'm guessing here that if you check your mail settings in the respective devices

Outlook is using POP3
iPad is using IMAP

Can you confirm this?

Just remember - only delete something you definitely want to go.  IMAP syncs across all devices while delete normally puts stuff in trash first, it's best to safe.
