I can access my email this morning, but there is no email at all between 00:35 yesterday and 00:26 today. Now given the volume of email I normally receive, this is unbelievable. Someone emailed me Sunday evening and that email hasn't arrived either.
And yes, I checked via webmail and it isn't there either.
If someone can point me at the thread or post that explains where that email has gone and if I will ever get it back I would be grateful.

Hi,
Just a thought, if the people that usually send you mail use VM then that could be the reason for your lack of incoming mail.

Thunderbird - Still getting SMTP server failure messages this morning, though the "message authentication code" message seems to have vanished. Whatever, can't send anything from my client.
If BT did a fewer-bells-and-whistles-but-unlimited-download option, I'd be off like a shot, but out here in the sticks, having to pay an additional £6 a month for "up to" 20Mb connections when it maxes out at 4, an "N" router when my client equipment is all "G", and free calls to UK landlines when all my expensive calls are to mobiles, JUST so that I can go from a limited to an unlimited download contract.....

The person who I know sent me email on Sunday evening does NOT use VM. In fact only one or two of the sources from whom I would expect email on a weekday uses VM.

Fingers crossed, touch wood, etc, etc...
Looks as though this particular issue has been sorted out as I have been able to receive emails through my Vodafone mobile all morning.
More significant though is that my mobile has been sending emails today - this is something I have not been able to do ever since I have had the phone.
So a tentative thumbs up from me!

Jenny, I am also a missing a vast volumne of emails from late Sunday, until this morning.
Yes, I am getting some today, but the ones that were sent (non VM senders), where are they?

MartJ wrote:Why o why to people keep associating Virgin Media with the other Virgin companies, when NTL purchased Virgin Mobile from Virgin they also got the rights to use the name for a set period. Richard Branson does not own Virgin Media, he has a small stake.
"Virgin Media have entered into a 30-year licensing agreement with Richard Branson's Virgin Enterprises Limited to licence out all the relevant Virgin sub-brands for a term of 30 years, with a ten year opt-out clause, Richard Branson accepted a mix of shares and cash, making him a 10.7% shareholder of the combined company at the time"
I know he doesn't own much of VM but I vote with my wallet and I stick to my guns it has his branding on it and as such I will boycott by owner and or branding when it comes to products and or services that have let me down time and time again, reason why I already don't fly certain airlines like Delta and Continental (typo?) and all of their spin offs

Your choice on who you boycott, just pointing out that Virgin don't own VM.
Yes and I do boycott products and services myself such as Ryanair, ASDA, BT.
Apart from the e-mail fiasco, I don't have much to complain about regarding VM, apart from a couple of incidents over the last 5 years, I have had a stable Broadband service, TV Service and Telephone service.
