My dad's email account has disappeared he logged in last week and everything was fine but when he tried to log into it today he kept getting the message:
"You've entered the wrong username or password. Passwords are case-sensitive, so please check your caps lock isn't on."
But all the details are correct. We went to Forgotten Password and when we entered his username we got an error message saying:
"Unable to find your username".
So we logged into my Virgin Media and looked under My Profile -> Manage Accounts and my dad's email address isn't listed there.
We tried to create a new email address with the same name but when we click availability it says:
"Sorry, that email address is taken. Choose one of the addresses suggested below, or type another one into the box above". But yet it couldn't find it when we clicked on forgotten password.
Can anyone help?

is the lost email account from a previous Virginmedia account? Maybe he moved house and resubscribed at the new address, but instead of the original account carrying over they started him on a new account altogether. The old address would have carried of working, possibly for years, until eventually the housekeeping caught up with it. Other than that possibility, I don't know.
What happens if you send an email to the lost address? Any bounce back?

We only set up the email address this year so it's @virginmedia.com. And my dad is still here lol but he can't log into his account anymore, even though he was on there over the weekend.
I've sent an email to his account and it hasn't come back.

so is that a 'no' to my original question then, I suppose.
In which case you will need to phone up tech support - 151 from a Virgin landline.
