Email access

I am unable to access my virgin media email account since windows 10 updated and each time I put in my pass work an error message appears as follows. Something went wrong, We're sorry but we weren't able to do that error code 0x8007003. Any ideas?

Re: Email access

Are you using the webmail, a third party email client (windows live mail) or the inbuilt email client?

If using the inbuilt email client the settings are different to those given in vm's support pages:

imap.virginmedia.com:993:1

smtp.virginmedia.com:465:1

hth,

Virginia/Doctor9fan. If I have helped please give me Kudos.

Re: Email access

I am using the mail on windows 10 as far as i am aware, it was fine until 2 days ago when the laptop did an update and now it tells me my account settings are out of date, it then asks for a password which is none of the passwords that I input!

Re: Email access

Although this problem wasn't solved here:

http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Win-10-Mail-App/td-p/3178753

you will see that it is a common issue with windows 10 mail app. The links in the thread will give you some guidance.

I do not work for VM. The advice I give is based on my best understanding of VM policy and practice. You rely on it at your own risk.
