Difficulty accessing email

Couldn't sign in to emails 'forbidden' cleared cache and cookies. Can now open login and password but no further - 3 dots just fade in and out

Try another browser - at least as a temporary expedient.

You do not appear to have attempted this.

Whichever one of Chrome/Edge/Internet Explorer/Opera/Firefox/Safari you are using, try one of the others and report back.

email not loading

Started with 'forbidden - cleared cookies and cache. 

Will let me enter email address and password  - looks like it will load but I just get three dots that fade in and out  and my emails never load. I can access my account on my iphone and at work . Please help.

Sorry - I didn't see the response come in. 

I have accessed the account through explorer  - so at least I can see my emails now.

I started having the same problems as the OP a few days ago when using my default browser (Firefox). Up till then it had worked fine, but then I got the 'Forbidden' message. I followed the advice given here and accessed my mail successfully using MS Edge. However, I would like to continue to do so from Firefox if possible - does anyone know how I could do this?

No one has yet come up with a satisfactory reason why some browsers suddenly stop working (at least not that I have seen). Maybe they get broken by an update and repaired the next time round?

Did you try Mozilla Firefox's private browsing mode (Ctrl + Shift + P)?

I too am now experiencing this "Forbidden" issue. I have tried Safari & Chrome (both gave the error at the same time) so I downloaded Firefox. This worked for a couple of days but has now decided to join its other browser friends and stop working. I always read on the web to start with, choosing to delete from my inbox and then empty my deleted items before downloading any mails that I deem important.

From reading all other threads relating to this, it appears to be a common occurrence. Why does it happen and what is Virgin doing to prevent it happening in the future?

Did you have any success with a different browser? 

 

It seems odd you are only having this trouble on one device.
