Changed Password now can't send

I changed my ntlworld.com password yesterday at Virginmedia prompting on website. Now when I send email from my iPhone and iPad I get the following message. I don't use a PC at all so can't check there.

"User name or password at SMTP:xxxxx@ntlworld.com@smtp@virginmedia.com is incorrect.

I checked the smtp settings and the virgin media part dies show anywhere.

Have you remembered to change the password in the email client on your iPad and iPhone?

Ok Chris, can you still access your email using VM's webmail directly?

You could also try rebooting the iPad and iPhone to make sure the password change has stuck.

Changing passwords on Apple i devices can be problematic.   There is good guidance here: http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Email/Ipad-Iphone-SMTP-why-deleting-and-recreating-an-account-DO...
