Cannot connect to email server

As of yesterday afternoon 10th Nov, I have not been able to receive or send emails from my desktop pc, Ipad,Samsung tablet, LG tablet or my LG Spirit phone. Whenever I try I get a message "cannot connect to server". I also cannot connect to the server when using data on my phone. It seems very strange that all five devices have the same problem at the same time. Is there a fault on the Virgin server?
