Cancelled in June 2016, email accounts still work 10 months later.

Hi

Can you please explain your email account housekeeping policy?

I left Virgin last year because of the way you increase prices and expect customers to argue for reductions. Feeling that I had effectively been overcharged for two years after my wife died and I was unable to get on the phone to the customer retention department to play the "is this the best price" game.

10 months after I stopped paying you, my email accounts all still work.  I want them deleting as they are part of my Personal Data identity and have no email in them.  I also want to ensure that in the unlikely event anybody emails those accounts gets a bounce email rather than no response at all.

Can you please explain your email account housekeeping policy?

they usually delete them after 90 days.....but, some people have still had their email addresses active for a couple of years after leaving virgin. there seems to be no logic for dormant account deletion,

Write to Virgin Media and request the relevant data be corrected at:

Data Protection & Privacy
Virgin Media
Bartley Wood Business Park
Hook
Hampshire
RG27 9UP

Or wait for a forum team member to address the issue.
