Same here evening lag spikes just on the game..other games play ok. Speed test gets 31 mbps ping 35 ms.
Game is up to a 1000 ms then seems to clear its self. It seems totally unstable most evenings at the moment.
Numerous calls abroad have got nowhere. The game software needs updating is the usual rubbish I get.
Very frustrating .

I'm currently having issues with lag as well I have 1016 home MS and 3768 world MS and I'm just sat in Icecrown. The speeds I'm getting as what we should be getting. So I don't know what to do >.<
Here are the speed test results:

Three weeks on, still having the same issues and no closer to finding a reason for why this happens. Whilst I'm disappointed that its been happening for this long to begin with (just cancelled SWTOR, unplayable), I'm more annoyed at the fact that I don't even know what is wrong.
I've called tech support and explained my situation as best as I could. I've done ping tests and speed tests that were asked of me and got a tech sent around to look at things. They said that nothing seems to be the matter. The tech on the phone said that nothing seems to be wrong with the hub, nothing seems to be too wrong with the ultilisation and nothing seems to be wrong in the area.
... except night after night, for a period of between two and three hours, my game latency is a total rollercoaster, my browsing speed is ridiculously hindered by the connection hanging and nothing happening. It happens even when I'm the only device connected in the household.
I'm not going to rant and rave about Virgin Media because to be honest, I think for the most part, my household has had pretty decent service from them. Until this point, I can't think of any absolute major issue that has happened. Well, there was one time where the connection had been double split by a couple of technicians rendering the internet well and truth worthless (couldn't connect, let alone use) but this is killing my gaming at night. Yeah, its only a game but creature comforts, man... creature comforts.

for the last 2 weeks my world ms has been rubbish, starts out fine but as soon as i start a raid it goes from 35/35 to a record, wait for it. 36/18000!!! but usually 36/2000 ish which makes it impossible to play.
it happened a few months ago also and its happening again! fix it pls! ![]()

At least it's not just me. What a completely unacceptable service. WoW and RIFT and both quite literally unplayable. Massive lag spikes reaching well over 2000, I noted one the other night that actually peaked at 11,000 or so. Fix it.

i couldnt find the option to edit my last post but i thoguht i would add this just incase it wasn't mentioned in the previous pages (haven't read them all).
There is an addon which reconfigs something on the network card which works for alot of ppl to give a more stable connection for WoW.
Leatrix Latency Fix.
Alot of ppl swear by it and i turned it on recently. I dont know if that had anythin to do with my stable ms over the last 24 hours or if VM managed to find the issue but it may help some gamers manage their connection some what.
Good luck!

Will give that addon a chance. If it doesn't work, I'll be convincing those I live with to cancel Virgin Media. It's just not on. I'm currently sitting at over 2000ms in a completely deserted zone, with nobody else using the internet.

Absolutely no progress whatsoever, with Rift or WoW. Your 'service' is broken, and it's ridiculous that you can get away with this.
